When you think of October, you may think of Halloween, cool crisp weather, and Pumpkin Spiced Lattes. But when I think of October, I think pink! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and even the NFL has gotten on board. I LOVE the hot pink accents on all those rough and tumble guys!
It seems everyone knows someone in their life who has been touched by breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure has led the way in building awareness and raising support for women battling this disease. Their mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and investing in science to find the cures. To date, they have helped over five million survivors through research and community programs. Through research, training, treatment and education, the Susan G. Komen Foundation hopes to one day eradicate the treat of breast cancer.
Now through the end of October, I am donating 100% of the proceeds from my Chloe and Isabel jewelry line to the Susan G.Komen Foundation for a Cure. I recently lost a dear friend to this battle that no woman should have to face. Kari Hessler, a young, vibrant, full of life wife, sister and daughter, left us suddenly, early on in her battle against breast cancer. Help us raise money to find a cure and ensure all women can live a long and healthy life.
